The National Endowment for the Arts has announced that Music For All Seasons is one of only six organizations in New Jersey to be awarded a grant in this round. The $10,000 grant is to be matched on a 4:1 basis to provide interactive musical programs for children and their mothers in shelters for victims of domestic violence. The programs will take place in shelters in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and California.
This is the first time that the New Jersey-based Music For All Seasons has been awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. "This is an important award in that it indicates a seal of approval from the major Federal arts agency. It challenges us to find additional support to complete the match from individuals, corporations or foundations." said Brian Dallow, President and Executive Director of MFAS.
